What are the differences between Speed Dating and
Social Events? |
The main differences between Speed Dating
and our Social Events are:
With Speed Dating, you will interact
with other singles more individually and the nature of the
organized event increases the likelihood that you will actually
connect with other singles. Plus, you will both be given
each other's contact information when you mutually indicate
interest in having contact again. There is group interaction
during the check-in period and intermission. With our Social Events, there is more
group interaction overall and typically you are engaged together in
a fun activity. We usually have twists that make it so you
meet each other, but unlike speed dating, it is up to everyone
to take the initiative to make their own connections. |

|
How do I pick which age group to
do? |
|
You register for the age group that you
belong in according to your own age, not your preference in the
person you would like to date. |
|
|
What should I do if I prefer to
date older/younger than myself? |
If you prefer to date older or younger
than yourself, then we suggest that you choose an age group where
you are either on the top or bottom of the age range. If you are one or two years off the cusp
of an age group, we don't think that's a very big deal. If
you are much more or less than that, then as suggested above,
we suggest choosing an age group where you are either on the top or
bottom of the age range. This will ensure
everyone has the experience they are expecting. In the
end, we don't screen (as long as you are at least
21), so it will be up to you to make the
decision of which age group you will register for. |

|
Why do some of the events have
overlapping age ranges? |
Some of the events have overlapping
age groups because some age ranges can really vary in
preference, so we make it so you can choose. For example,
with a 20's/30's and 30's/40's, some people in their 30's prefer to
date in the 30's and younger, whereas some prefer to date in
the 30's and older. This will allow people to cater more
towards their preferences. |
|
|
How are different age groups separated
at the same event? |
|
Age groups are separated at individual events
in different ways, such as number systems, tables, and teams.
For example: In speed dating, age groups are separated by a number
system, with Singles & Sushi, they are separated by tables, and
with Rock N' Bowl, age groups are separated by
teams. All other events are divided similarly and
accordingly. Age groups do have the opportunity to interact
during check-in and intermission, however, not during the main
event.

Why must I register in advance for Speed
Dating? |
For
speed dating events, we need equal number of men and women for each
age group. We have to monitor registration and go
on a waiting list when one gender in each age group begins to
outweigh the other. There are waiting lists for each event, so
space becomes limited. For this reason, you must register in
advance and will want to register for speed dating events as far in
advance as possible. We cannot take "walk-ins" to speed
dating events because we have to know there are equal
genders in advance. |
|

Why should I pre-register for
events? |
By pre-registering for an event, you will
be able to enjoy a significant reduction in registration price and
better guarantee yourself a space at the event before we close
registration due to being filled. |
|

When should I register for an
event? |
|
It's best to register for an event as
soon as you know you want to do it for sure. This will
help to avoid taking the risk that the event will be on a
waiting list as it get's closer to the event date.
Also, you could be eligible for the pre-registration
price. |

Just wear something nice-not too casual, but not too dressy. Think about how you want to make a first impression... For guys- Jeans or slacks and a nice shirt would be fine. For ladies- Jeans and a nice top would be fine, as would a skirt or dress.
Think of what you would wear if you were meeting up with some friends for dinner and drinks on a Friday night. Some individuals come to events straight from work. Business attire is fine. For more specific information on dress codes, please contact the venue at which event you plan on attending. For contact info., Click Here. |
